I remember thinking this guy was obviously a character, there was a lot he could have contributed both to this forum and life in general. It's a shame to lose someone so young...RIP Yenzarill

yep, i agree, and ive said it b4..live each day as ur last...now..on to a more cheerful point of my post...
is there much research being done on this??
i kno we have discussed fundraising (such a good excuse for a group ride), but how bout actually having a ride in honour of a member, a guy who loved to ride, and donating proceeds to the organisation who research it?? or even his family??...we can make a positive out of a real shitty situation...

I feel for Yenz & family, it is a terrible tragedy to have a loved one suddenly and unexpectedly taken from your life. Our thoughts are with you....

Geez, rest in peace dude... I'm sure he's still checkin' up on the forum :D

A memorial ride would be good I think, maybe at a specific time in all states/cities so it can be a group-group ride.
I'll talk to so mates about sleep apnea and find out any ways of helping towards that but it sounds like helping the family however we can would be best.

Hope you're having fun dude, you're a welcome pillion on my bike anytime :)

digging up an old post here, but just came across a forum of his from ages back that is still kicking along. and according to this a recent post by a close friend of his, it turns out it was Long Q-T Syndrome that caused his demise. It's a genetic defect, but seems to still take a few people here & there. I'd never heard of it before, but its summarised with:-
Long Q-T Syndrome

What is the long Q-T syndrome (LQTS)?

Long Q-T syndrome is an infrequent, hereditary disorder of the heart's electrical rhythm that can occur in otherwise-healthy people. It usually affects children or young adults.

When the heart contracts, it emits an electrical signal. This signal can be recorded on an electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) and produces a characteristic waveform. The different parts of this waveform are designated by letters -- P, Q, R, S and T. The Q-T interval represents the time for electrical activation and inactivation of the ventricles, the heart's lower chambers. A doctor can measure the time it takes for the Q-T interval to occur (in fractions of a second), and can tell if it occurs in a normal amount of time. If it takes longer than normal, it's called a prolonged Q-T interval.
