Righto Frozzie, you've inspired me :D ...only kidding, Cath and I will be there, probably bring along Steve (on his beemer  ) too.

.... suppose I'd better take my eTag off for the day huh ? Be kind of embarassing to campaign for something that I have had for 18 months. In all seriousness though, it should be much easier than it was for me when I got an eTag in early 2004 - I had to agree to seal the gaps with silicone and accept that if it got wet I was responsible for replacing it with a new one at approx $100.

I'm all for the 'show of strength / numbers / etc' but wont personally be making life difficult for the traffic or toll collectors by using big notes and being a pain. Others should by all means feel free to, I just choose not to.

Are we going to make a bit of a KSRC get together out of this then ? Who wants to meet where ? Cath, ty, Steve and I will still do our Sunday morning PITS run then will continue on down to town. Open to suggestions as to where to meet.

The best thing to do is pay attenion to the organisers from the MCC. They will be monitoring the *pain* factor and when the *pain* gets too high everyon else will be asked to "pay as normal".

This is about making a point without pissing too many people off.

There is an organised ride, only short, but organised none-the-less after the protest. If everyone makes there way to the Mobil at Berowra (before the Old Road) we will all head up to Road Warriors to swap war stories. Then I guess some will continue on or head home.

Has someone from mcofnsw put you up for the weekend?
Otherwise there's always space at my place... hey that ryhmes, great.

Might see you there.
I'll be the camera/pamphlet biatch on the back of a spewpuki 750.

Thanks for the offer, I have been able to sort out accommodation, I do have my sister who incidently is up my here while I'll be down in Sydney. Works out fine for me, I like my sis, but not any longer than 24 hours at a time.

I felt obliged to come down since I do have a little part of responsibility in the protest thing, with more up my sleeve if all this works well!

I won't have a pillion, but will be on my trusted steed, you can't miss it, it's got frozzie.com on it!

C Ya all there, I'll be starting the trip down on Friday, should be able to slot a bit of work on the way down!

yeah... would be good but all us sydneysiders live very far from one another... Though it would be nice to roll up in a line of Kawasaki's... Can increase our pressence and potential members.

Maybe if we met a maquarie street and then just rode in... meet near the opera house... Short ride I know, but its more about the 'look'

If we're meeting by the Opera House should we meet at 9:30 under the roadbridge on Macquarie Street on the way to the Opera House?
(Looks like it'll be raining anyway 8)) Then leave from there to Hickson Rd via Bridge St, George to Hickson Rd for 10am?

Subject: [Sydride-chat] [Sydride] Sunday protest

The Protest is ONLY about the toll rate.
The other issues will follow later,

Media Brief and Press Release available from:-

http://www.mccofnsw.org.au/a/128.html
The webpage for E-tags has the ride Notice Also there, download and
print the "Carpamf" and cut into four, so you have something to give to
the onlooker who asks "what?"

The ride will be minimally disruptive to other traffic

All NSW Politicians have been provided a sticker and ride Notice.

We are getting good political support for this!
The Leader of the Democrats will also speak for us at Hickson Rd.

This is about drawing the TV cameras, cheerfully.
We will give them colour and movement.
More time on TV = more coverage for our issues.

Only one team of toll payers, to demonstrate the effect.
Bring a toll and give it to the Salvo's

Main run is North, slowly, "Mourning the Toll".
Some action around the Northern Tunnel entrance.

Please refer reporters and microphones to the MCC Spokespeople We want
to ensure the story is clear.

Basically, "We want our toll rate back, its four times too high"

We will need a few volunteers to assist at Hickson Road from 9am to
carry the Salvos collection buckets.

See you there.

Remember, you are on TV.
