Will definately be getting the servo buddy...................the problem is that shipping from the US takes ages.

I might have to visit Jay Car and make one up :(............

Yep I should have asked you that when you said you heard a whine, it was sitting in the back of my head that you may have mixed them up.

Anyways a servo buddy is $75 including postage from eBay for your model if you can't make it yourself.

They have a habit of dying. Remember the ecu doesn't know whether you have a slip on or not it just say that it 'thinks' the valve is still closed because the servo is saying it can't open it which is because you still have the servo tricked into thinking its still doing it job. Therefore ecu thinks the valve is closed and won't let the bike rev.

Heheheh Blurr im easily confused mate :), master of confusion should be my middle name :).

Yeah I dont mind paying the money but I dont like the wait, so if I could get them locally then id definitely go that route.

But it seems like its just an American thing :(............

Didn't take long at all to ship :D
Although I did get mine a while ago with free shipping, so was a lot cheaper back then.

If the servo from the 09 model works on a 05/06, you're welcome to have mine whilst you wait for your servo buddy... Pretty that thing will never go back on my bike!

Nope it wasnt the servo buddy, I was too ahead of myself when the bike revved slightly higher standing still.......the servo buddy was a good buy though, now my dash doesnt look like a Christmas tree.

Anyway, less than two weeks ago I scored myself a Power Commander III for $149, needless to say I was a happy boy :)..........installed it tonight and whadya know, the bike now sounds smoother and revs butterly smooth to revline. It now feels like going from a LAMS bike to a fulls bike :kuda: :kuda: ...........

It seems that the culprit was a DEAD ECU.........yay problem solved, now I can ride :).

Thanks for all the help guys.........much appreciated. Learnt heaps in the process.

Pc3 doesn't replace the ecu it just over rides the fueling. Something else is going on. I cant imagine that an ecu just drops its maps and nothing else

What did the codes say after you installed the servo buddy?
