Pay attention son. Indeed the 10 ate armco and is looking a shade the worse for it. apparently the bandaids in the picture made it all better though ;-)

feed em into Paintshop or Photoshop or Irfanview*
and do a resize
for example.....
a 1600x1200 will nicely resize to a 800x600
and then post it

*Irfanview is free off the net..the others you have to pay for
(I use Paintshop6 ..bought for $5 at a swap meet)

cheers

Thanks smitty, worked a treat.

Well here is the pics.. not too bad.
Phoned up Broad torque Kawasaki for prices of new fairing.
Ok for the front fairing that wraps around the headlight it is $997
Middle fairing right hand side it is $715
Lower belly pan fairing $54 ???
Stickers $135

bargain. they are all painted etc so im off to pay some money. Thats a bargain considering NRMA wanted me to pay $3500 per year with a $1100 excess for full comp insurance.... so im already in front.

mate...im suprised...thats abt $2500 in fairings??...when u factor in the mirrors, bar ends, indicators, engine covers,pegs/rearsets,exhuast, clip ons etc if they are damaged, it starts adding up...but then again, its a good excuse to customise...good luck with it mate....im sure itll look sweet...flush mount indi's?? anodised bar ends & pegs?? tinted screen?? ..go nuts dude...

yeah i was surprised too neka with that price. Its 2k in fairings but small things like bar ends are already polished ready to go back on, brake lever is already done. The only thing im missing is 1 screw, 1 washer and 1 nut (well the nut behind the handlebars makes up for it). Indicators well for $60 i have nice flushmounts. The only thing i havent factored in was the exhaust, well there is one on ebay for $300 at the moment which is the oem titanium exhaust which i may grab but still deciding between that and a slip on.
But other than that it is all good... plus the missus is in full support... "Oh those would look good on your bike".... dont mind if i do.

Anyone had much to deal with frame polishing?

The middle and top fairings look like easy repairs. Any spraypainter should be able to get them looking lickety-split again for less than $400. The UN peacekeeper blue of the '03 Nine isn't as complicated to paint as the candy blue of the earlier bikes, and any decent spray shop will have a sticker machine.

Finding a secondhand bellypan will likely prove difficult (when I was bringing my Nine back from the dead, I ended up having to get one from England), but for a 50% saving off the cost of a new part would make a bit of a search worthwhile.

$300 for a secondhand stock muffler is highway fucking robbery. I've got one spare and I'd feel like an absolute heel charging someone anywhere near that for it.

How much of a rush are you in?
I'm gonna take a mold off Dave3 bellypan and offer them out in black finish glassfibre or even carbon fibre, gonna get started in the next week or two.
That side panel if you do get a new one can I bludge the old one off ya?
I reckon you'd be mad to buy new panels, I know a painter that could fix up and paint your headlight fairing and side fairing for about $500 and that would be a paint job on the bellypan aswell!
See how ya go
Damon
ps I know someone who can make ya a nice carbonfibre cover to cover that case damage
