Confirmed when a copper pulled me over a few months after getting suspended, but i was driving. I asked him and he said my license had checked out but he noticed i had a suspended riders permit.

Checked my demerit points on my full license and they were untouched.
RTA explained it that i lost my provisional license to ride because the offence was on the bike. Once the P turns into an unrestricted license, it is then considered one license and with the 12 demerit points.
When on your L and P's they each class holds its own points, as they are considered permits to ride so are penalised differently. Otherwise you would have a max of 12 points on your L's
What a great legal loop hole, you could be a suspended rider or driver than apply for his/her L's under a different class & essentially have new legal license to get around.

16 points on your license according to the old demerit scheme scale and whatever offence & or demerits incurred on your P bike license did not apply to your unrestricted drivers license? Don't believe that applies today.

Wattie's explaination is plausible which is what I initially believed, however speeding offences that are considered a onspot suspension apply to both licenses automatically.

I've experienced a safety camera flashing on three occasions exactly as I entered through an intersection whilst the speedo on my ninja 250 displayed the speed limit.

Never heard anything more about it and just put it down to being someone else..

Or a mischievous bugger with a disposable flash camera

I think speed camara's are set for 7k over, So if you get flashed you were doing well over the speed limit. I think that takes the : "I wasnt speeding" out of the argument.. :?
