this bloke is just trying to sell the oil he stocks!
plus he is talking to americans (!) who drag race by my reading (i mean who else is putting nitrous on a zx14?)
the lack of science in the above is brain numbing. where are his facts? where is the research. it sounds very much like 'the mate of a mate saw' or i heard some bloke at the pub reckons'. by the same reasoning my bike has 300 hp, and will get beaten in a drag by a standard s15 sylvia; because a bloke at the pub said so!

lets deal with reality and verifiable facts

opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one and most of them stink!
This bloke is a world record holder DICK ,as for the talk in the pub i think you have been there way to many times?as we are 20 years behind the US you must know everything,PS i have this oil (sent from the US) and have no problems PS allways great to see a know it all from the 70's
Thing about internet forums is you never quite know just WHO it it you might be conversing with.
FYI , I share a very similar past to mr Faber it would appear and can see the merit in the comments ...A lot of my knowledge base came from an old fart by the name of Don Garlits ... you prob have no idea who he is right !?

Are you saying none of our bikes should make it past 50,000km? Phil had 130,000km on his 9 when it was taken out and has over 80,000 on his ZRX. :? Interesting that you think he does nothing but pussy his bikes. You need to spend some time on the CDT and experience how he pussies them first hand.
yes you may be write in that little bit,but you seem to miss the main point, viscosity come down to POWER witch the 9 lacks  PS cant wait to go for a blat on roads we both know ;)
FYI: z900/zx9 is Mal and lives in Vic, where as Phil is Phil (AKA Ride Rage radio host, ASBK and WSBK commentator and CDT road captain), and lives in NSW. :? I put my point in about engine life as Phil's 9 put out 130 ponies at the rear wheel with 130,000km of VERY HARD riding on it and it didn't blow any smoke at all so still had plenty of life in it. So I didn't think your comment about an engine having a life expectancy of 50,000km as being very valid.

As for going for a blat on roads we both know with the wink after it??? Was that a challenge directed at me too, or did you confuse me for Mal? :?

What i do know is i just picked up my revamped track bike 1 th down on the front and 2 th up on the rear, new fork seales slightly heavier fork oil as well as new chain and the sag, compresion and rebound set up as well. This bikes has 118,000 ks lesss than my old one so with that combination with the revamp she should pull out of corners now like an evil bitch possesed. The difference was quite apparent when riding her home. I wonder what oil i should use ;)

I use Motul 5100 10W40 or 10W50 in mine and change every 3000, less after a track day.

A quality full synthetic would be the best if cost was no concern right?
