Ben used to have a ZZR1100 as I did and we got chatting on bikebikeworld.com. Been mates since. (about 12 years or so.) Haven't seen much of him for the last few years as I am self employed now with bugger all weekend spare time. Should come down and see the big guy soon. They have had 2 kids in the last few years too. I think :)

Bejeezus a ZZR11......must get into him about that the next time we meet!! If you are ever coming down, let me know and we can possibly make it a triple header. ;)

Actually stepped off my ZRX 2 wks & 3hrs ago about 10km outside of Dorrigo on a run with some VJMC boys..Bike came out of it surprisingly well,I rode it back to town after a touch of straightening. ended up with C4 fracture, heavy shoulder and lower leg soft tissue stuff, and of course a heavily damaged reputation!! Am breathing walking and talking so all's well that ends well.

and they'll ignore it
you'll get the formula letter with the fill in area after "dear...." giving you a non-answer in the hopes you'll go away in with some perverted sense of accomplishment. even if you present a petiton with 350 000 signatures (as i did many years ago) you get the same waxen smiles, the same cold fish handshakes, and the same bullsh1t excuses for non action.

several years ago, while working for a state government department, i was told that todays government policy will be on page1 and3 of the daily terrorgraph, tomorrows policy is pages 2,4 and 5 and next week is on the back 4 pages. this is underlined by what is parroted by, jones, hadlee and the other braindead marionettes in 'talk' radio (they talk, nobody thinks!)
get your issuye in the paper, then get it on radio to manufacture some outrage and the policy will change 'magically' in about 2 weeks.

this, apart from a coup d'état, or some surgical assasination, is about the only way to successfully guarantee policy change.

rural and remote education. it took 6 months to gather the signatures across the whole state. i flew down from the nw of the state, met up with some other blokes from the far west, and the riverina/mia. gave the signatures in bulk (was a pile 6 inches thick) to the relevant minister; thank-you now piss off!

then it got lost in the preparation for the 2 week sports carnival in the year 2000.

then the minister changed and it fell off the radar. now the deny it even existed

do i have a problem with the political process, you bet your sweet arse i do

Seems the only way to get anything done is to have someone run for the upper house and have the balance of power.
