Last time i was at winton, 1st of may last yr from memory, we had the FX guys there, testing/ setup ect.
They were told by dave from champions that this is a ride day, not a race day!! do u think they took any notice!!! yer sure, i had one of the yamaha factory guys come past at the left/ right near grass area, and i mean close, then i had both of i think terry hays guys,come past around one of the right handers around the back part of the track, last right hander before the little straight, before u turn left, one of them stuck it up the inside of me, ok no prob, but his team mate came around the outside at the same time.
now that was stupid, i could have stood the bike up and taken him out, i knew they were coming so stayed commited to my line, but shit they dont kno who i am, so could have turned out nasty. so yer it does happen.

i think gos is half right and russ is half right... up to a point if you're slow the fast guys should pass you as safely as possible. but there are some people who ride sooo slowly and sooo erratically that it is dangerous for the riding gods (like russ ) to get past them safely...

having said all this i always go faster and safer when im being dragged around by someone faster than me, so if you go up a group because of that reason then i understand it... dont think the tard will be heading into red group anytime soon tho

The green one rings a bell, but there were a few kawaka's there that day.
Got some photo's of the day, with other bikes in them, u guys would prob kno. got smashed all day long that day!!! 1st time i had ever set foot in the place, and setup was shit!!!
when i work out how to post them up!!!! computer's are not my stong point!!! thats why i havent put up any photo's yet. got heaps of them.
Even my girlfriend asked what was wrong!! not my favourite track thats for sure, but will be back to have another go.

Yep thats the corner near the pillar box where i got choped up, i think it was kev, but he went past that fast i didnt see who it was!!

Just double checked and those photos are from Friday the 31st April last year so we were there on the 1st May too..
I'm sure we did the right thing though.. Well I did, not sure about that Blurr fella...

This is not race practice - it is a track day. If some muggins finds himself in the Red group and is a fair bit slower - then the fast guys owe it to all concerned - including themselves - to pass safely. There are no sheep stations at stake here.

Disagree, your in a fast group and need to be fast if not predictable.

Slow bikes are not the issue it is the unpredictability when we pass at speed.

Well if I'm not allowed to get faster then neither can anyone else.. .

and no, there are no more tracks than EC for me anymore (and probly not even EC anymore).... The mind is willing but the body is not able..

I was fine with everyone that day, just pissed off with myself!! was just a speed hump that day for u guys, i kept thinking, wish this was at broady then i wouldnt have been smashed all day, o well.
Jog ur memory, i was on a 07 ZX10r, number 79, madazz pipes, green wlth orange belly pan, orange on front gaurd, with ripped chequred flags painted on both sides, green wheels with polished outers, me in bright orange,purple and white dainese leathers

Yep, I remember that bike... I noticed it mainly as we were looking at doing the paint job on our bikes with the orange, to be different (and to please Blurr), and you blew it for us.. See my avatar pic..

We did come past you a few times from memory and I think you held lines will, you didn't bother me anyway..

No not at all, the best some of the best rides are when us three are out there together on form.

And don't go through this giving up phase again mate, you'll be back
