Jonno wrote:Neil, I have ridden with you when you had the zrx, seen you on the zzr and at best you were a liability and farkin slow to say a good thing, you were at least having a go on the zrx you had. Mind u you were up against the 12R trio, still farkin slow.
Then against all advice or reason you bought the slug being the zzr1200, I had one, good bike except it is overweight and performed worse than a 9r.
Sometimes I try and understand you, this time you are so wrong buddy.
Whatever.
Mandatory

Not so sure about that either Jonno. I would rate Gos as about the same as me in terms of abilities on a motorcycle. I have done a fair few thousand kilometres with him and the MFP12, on both the ZX9 and the ZRX. I disagree with your determintation that the 12R is a faster bike. In a straight line, yes. On a race track, maybe so. But on the road...no. I still maintain the Rex has the upper hand in the turns. I certainly know that going at the same speed down the Bonang, the Rex made it...........................

- yes the Rex made it and the MFP12 learnt to bungee-jump horizontally !! but up until that point.....it was doing OK against the Rex and Russ on his 10.....I think maybe the design parameters of the Barge got pushed a bit too far in the 2010 Leap of Faith ....
Neil - unfortunately I have never had the pleasure of going for a ride with you, so have NFI about your abilities or style. But as far as riding in the twisties are concerned - I stand by my comment that a well-ridden Rex will always smoke a ZZR1200.
You know it makes sense. I'm Sam Twocan.

If someone other than you was riding it ...............I would agree with that!!!
But in all honesty, i would back a stock 1995 ZX6R against a Barge down the Bonang!!!!

Come on, it isn't the bike it is about the rider imo, also it is not where you are from it is the story of the journey traveled and where ya going, meeting like minded people etc, hey.... sounds like ksrc to me
What bike you have is all ego outside of that.
Granted there are cool and awesome bikes, it is imo about the rider, some make shit bikes look good others make great bikes look shit.
See u out there.

Congrats on the new toy!
As per your original thread you wanted a good touring bike for mainly highway riding which i'm sure your new toy will do the job nicely.
This has been an entertaining thread...
Personally i'm a zzr11 fan.
Enjoy!

Congratulations!!! Colour matched panniers look nice too. The ones one my Rex are plain black and look like very obvious add ons; where as, those almost look factory!!
Wasn't trying to rain on your parade by the way. However, you asked for an opinion, one which I shared. I will stand by my comments and qualify them by adding, most of the muppets in here, including me couldn't use any of them to their potential anyway!!!!
