So whadya reckon Davo, go the 1Kg springs and be done with it before bolting it all back together. Do the rear at the same time? Or see how she behaves first?
Looks like it could be a couple more weeks, exceeeeeeedingly busy this week and next.
I can drop ém out tomorrow night, I feel a road trip to the suspension gurus next week?
May as well get it right, ready for Xmas track day

Way things are going it will take that long

In the week maaaate, in the week.
Just put the farker back together, gotta get the front guard from work, painted it.
Clutch springs in thanks to MK for getting me the right price

and a fresh oil change.
Pics mmmmmm Monday or Tuesday.
Just from sitting I can feel the front is heaps firmer but we still think the springs need upping in the front to 1kg and the rear spring cus I'm a fatty and the Zed aint light
See how she goes next Saturday, I may run the rear and front to Zenos and get him to change the springs and revalve for my weight, then again I may just sell the carnt as she is
Patience my learnéd friend patiece

Considering the front end wasnt at its best it was still pretty bloody good at Marulan yesterday, only issue was the bump on the brakes into T1

Hmm, well after a little bit of research it would appear that 04/05 zx10r springs are the same length as the zx6r ones..
It also appears that stock 04/05 zx10r springs are 1.0kg...
Perfect for a Z1000 conversion.. according to the racetech spring selection chart..
I also know someone who has some...
The rear shock may be tweakable with some preload so we can try that before changing the spring... (I also found a heavier shock spring in my collection but it may be a bit short for the std shock - its for an ohlins.. )

Your not wrong, not that cheap.
Guess what just went for a run around the block and 'hard'on the brakes to pull up, hmmmm stop! got back to the garage and looks like they bottom out pretty easy.
Soooooo, they can come out again next week and get the MadKaw heavier springs front and rear
All up the whole process has knocked me back about $600 plus time and farking around but now the springs have to go in, more time and having to figure out how to strip forks
Here's some pics I took on the quicky tonight........

Looks good Damo, wonder if my forks are showa or KYB

I'll have a look now........
I was quite happy with how my front end felt on Sunday. It was a little soft but only bottomed at that bump into T1. Rest of the time it was good and the brakes were better than me
I still havent added the 10mm of oil to the forks either - should be able to take some of the preload I've dialed in out when I do
