You have missed the point, he wasn't talking about hard core shite like winching up a cliff or climbing over big arse rocks just because they are there, and I am sure he doesn't want to have 32" tyres to do mostly long distance tar driving (that would drive you insane with the noise). For 12K the expense of old man emu shocks, tyres/rims and a PTO winch would be prohibitive.

So sacrifice the hard core machine for a bit of soccer mum comfort and I am sure it will do what he wants with ease. ;)

Yeah, as I stated after Gos pointed that out, I was thinking they were going inland and tackling the rutted, corrugated tracks that tend to destroy the electronic everything modern 4B's. I would prefer to do those harder tracks in a HQ before doing them in a plastic 4WD also, as it would be less likely to break down. ;)
