The site glass did seem to look a little murky... almost like it was misted up. When I switched the bike off and the oil settled, it didn't look very clear (more like a brown murky colour) at all, considering the oil was just changed and the bike had only been ridden once since then. If it is the head gasket, I cant afford to fix it. Gonna cost about another R3000.00. I only paid R10000.00 for the bike and have already spent R6000.00 on it. I really don't think its gonna be worth my while to fix it. I'm never gonna get my money back as these bikes are selling for R15000.00 and running.

The misting on the sight glass is also 'normal' if the bike hasn't had a decent run to get it up to a normal temperature for 15-20 minutes. My ZZR used to have this in mid-winter, it looked like milk chocolate on the inside of the sight glass, but if you pulled the filler cap off the oil looked fine.
From reading the earlier posts I think the guys are on the right track, it seems to be a fuel starvation problem. I'd still be suspecting the fuel tap, they can be a bastard, especially if the bike has sat for a long time in a previous life and the fuel in the tap has turned to varnish.

good morning boyz.... ok so last night I tried to start the bike and as I pushed the button i heard "BANG" saw a "FLASH" crapped myself and said..."OH SHIT". So I tried again... this time I saw a "PUFF' of smoke and some oil running down the side of the engine. Oh and that white milky shit in the oil cap... is in the sump too.

Well that is officially
BAD. Time to call it a day unless you have deep(er) pockets. Sounds at the very least to be a head gasket.
I would take the bike to the guy who had it for all this time with a large tube of KY Jelly. Get him to bend over, lube up your bike and insert it up his backside and he clearly knows stuff-all about bikes. Don't worry about holding onto it, just leave it up there...

LMAO!!!! you know what? That sounds like a brilliant idea... I can just picture it...mmmm "PRICELESS". Well a friend of mine said he would sort it out free of charge and I work in the engineering industry so i'm sure I can pull a few strings if any skimming needs to be done. But I am definitely gonna get rid of it once its running. I hear that once the head goes it most likely will continue to give problems... mmm... so its a shopping I will go... putting THE BEAST down and getting me a new shinny puppy... one thats wheels actually turn...
But guys, i wanna say thanks for all your help and your concern... I really appreciate it alot... the next Fosters is on me...lol

Hey Nicky, Initially I was going to say, after reading the title of this thread, just drop a Viagra in the fuel tank, it's supposed to make everything last more than 5 minutes........ but now your saying milky looking oil

that usually means you have water in your oil which is probably a blown head gasket..........
Now, i'd probably go with what Mick said with the KY gel.... oh and take your camera so you can post up the pic's

I posted some picks under the heading "The Beast" ... and as for the beer drinking... don't touch the stuff myself... I drink Katemba's which is a mixture of red wine and coke 50/50 (wine in first though)...
