Cheers Mate - "show offs" are what I'm after :) anyone own some knee sliders with sparkers.... nice wide angle lens up close on the inside of the corner would make a great shot ;)

Howdy All just letting those interested know I will be up on the old road again this coming saturday morning - having breakie about 9ish at the PITS and then up on the side of the road snapping shots for a few hours.

what do ya mean? didnt you get the keys I left under the mat for the Bug????????

If you still around when I get back I will chuck the sparkies on for a couple of pics as long as there are no number plates invovled on the net!!!

Either that or I will lend wattie my sparkies??? :D

Definitely no shots of plates mate I mostly shoot from the front and side or blur the plates on rear shots for that very reason :)

A suggestion from a newbie and not aware of other pitfalls for the uninitiated...

I used to do a bit of rallying and photographers used to put up a "FLASH" sign just before a corner. That way there was no need to advertise when they would be about or where... :kuda:

Yeah I have been considering some signage but have had a lot of differing opinions on it from people, some agree it would be good to know there was a photographer so they could setup and also know who to see for the pic others are concerned it would attract undue attention from the authorities as previous photographers up on the old road used to get hassled a lot - in saying that I have checked the laws out and there is absolutely nothing illegal about what I am doing so am leaning towards getting the signs made up :)

no worries. I wont be back for a few weeks so if you dont have what you want or need by then I guess I will see you up the old road.
