IK dubbed my gpx750 the Potemkin after a big ugly russian battlecruiser. Though the name never really stuck with me. I just kept at calling it "the gpx". Same goes for my 900, the past owner called it "susie" for obvious brand reasons, however it never stuck with me. the gsx250e hasn't a name either.

However i do use very colourfull language to either of the bikes when they act in any rebellious manner.

One of the local guys tried to name my bike the flanno, something about me being a bogan, but I prefer it to just be a bike. A weapon. A beast. I did make an attempt at a nerd funny one day saying I should call it death, since it has a blue screen, but it probably wasn't that funny.

Haven't ever named any of my cars or bikes, it's just not something I do.

i suppose i should add that when i was a car mad teenager i saw the latest incarnation of gone in 60 seconds, so it was pretty much a given that i would name cars/bikes...

Mine is called Gary... after the snail in Spongebob Squarepants. Yes, I realise that this is rather strange... but Gary is one of the stupidest cartoon characters imaginable, a meowing snail that lives underwater. I reckon a ZX10R on the road is also completely stupid, since they are hilariously overpowered etc... but they are still awesome fun. Hence... GARY. She also gets called Babe too... mainly by my best friend

GT550 is 'Grandad's Tourer'. (GT)

My Z750 is "Zoot". He needed a name starting with a Z (for obvious reasons). A Zoot Suit was a high waisted, wide shouldered suit, which was is essentially how Zoot is styled, with a narrow seat & wide tank. Also, the wearer of the Zoot Suit was perceived to have an extravagant personal style, and to wear one was a declaration of freedom and auto-determination, exactly how I feel about Zoot!

Kinda makes my way of naming bikes look a little shallow!

"Interim bike before getting a Tuono, Speed Triple or new-model sportsbike fighter."

Not particularly catchy, but true.

My Z is called the bike. My ZX9 was also called the bike, and the ZZR250 was (you guessed it) the bike. My car is called the fourby while the wife's car gets two names: your car (when talking directly to said owner) and the the wife's car. Imaginative fucker aren't I?

I can't understand the need for people to name vehicles. :?

My 1980 Z1000H is called the Black Pearl. It used to be just called 'The Fuellie' as in fuel-injected. Swabio christened her with the new name after a KSRC photo-shoot day here with Strika, Mick C and ProblemChild a couple of years ago.

GREAT TOPIC & Some Good ones Guys.

It's just downright Unaustralian not to name your vehicles. It should be included in the Citizenship questionaire.

Q7. Your brother-in-law Abdul is at the TAB & he Wins the 'fecta. Your sister Rangwina wants a new HummerWagon for the "9 sets of twins" & offers you their Tarago if you can pick it's name out of the following list.
A) "Air conditioned ..... NOT"
B) "Defective"
C) "The Tongan Taxi"
D) "Uninsured"

Now that's something I'd support. Better then how many Rim jobs did Bradman get from Prime minister Howard in the 1962 Series against Bangladesh. FFS He's DED leave him alone Johnnie

Any vehicle that has lasted more then 3 months (couple did'nt make it  ) has been named, like all good Nicknames they are suppose to come from someone that will steal your beer but not your sister.

I do have to admit that I came unstuck when picking a name for the 10. It was forboden
2004 Orange ZX10R (Crim) EZY .... PAULINE.
as in Pauline Hansen Qld's most famous unforgettable ginger Law breaker.

I mean with lines like this to back it up .... I can't see what j was offended by.
Hot, Firey & Really Fuckin Scary at night.
Not the prettiest thing about, But I bet you'd toss a leg over if the Warden was'nt watchen'
Anywho 'nuff from me
Back to some more Aussie Wit ....
