I didn't knock that up mate, it was done by the CanberraRIDERS administrator last year, he is a dab hand with photoshopping.....
....everyone seems quick to down play and ridicule an incident that I'm sure would scare the bejesus out of anyone, especially when there are kids involved.....Have a heart!...
I think the issue is - Did this actually happen in the first place ? Its not exactly *easy* to hide a sawn-off shotgun anywhere on a sports-bike, christ knows I have tried so many times on the MFP12 !!
Just because *Lucy* reports some ridiculous bullshit, does not mean it really happened. Its called a *bullshit media beat-up* on a slow news day.....

hahaha i love the repsonses this gets wat an awesome story! I think this is what we need in our lives! Its boring to hear about Credit Crunch and world economic status falling apart, lets have some war on the streets.
I wanna hear about a sports bike riding doing 300 on 1 wheel through the middle of a town next. Also a sports biker getting chased across 2 states of Australia ending with a gun battle show down. Then a sports biker riding gang bullying a harley based gang! NOW WE ARE TALKING!

ill be she is related to a harley rider,
Sick of their reputation, shes trying to put some of the heat on to us sports bike riders, Because we're all such horrible characters, and only have bikes because we are sociopaths and outlaws.
its crap like this, that just ruins the fun for all of us. next thing we know, we'll all be gitting pulled over for weapons checks, because there are so many spots to hide anything longer than a pea shooter on a sportsbike. dont we all have a holster built into our fairing, i know i do

If you can comfortably carry a riffle on a sports bike then we have just lost the arguement for front number plates. surley a gun would not only be harder to fit, ruin the aerodynamics but would also be a afir bit more hazardous.

SAWN-OFF STORY
This is one of those stories where if you are right nobody remembers and if you are wrong nobody forgets. It’s about a road rage incident which first became public on 3AW’s Breakfast Program yesterday. A terrifying story about a young mother, a motor-bike rider, a baby and a sawn-off shotgun.
People may have been surprised that I made no mention of it on my 3AW program yesterday. That’s because there were many aspects of this story that I, quite frankly, didn’t believe.
And I wasn’t surprised that the Herald Sun didn’t feature the story this morning when usually such a story about a young mother and baby terrorised by a shotgun-toting road rager would be on Page One.
Let’s briefly give the story as told by a woman calling herself ‘Lucy’ to the Breakfast guys and by Police Media in a release yesterday afternoon.
She was driving north along the Hume Highway, near Somerton, in heavy traffic about 5p.m. With her ‘little baby playing in the back seat’. She inadvertently cut off a motor bike. The enraged bike rider overtook her in the emergency lane, pulled in front of her car and stopped dead. How she didn’t run him over wasn’t explained. Then he turned, pointed a sawn-off double barrelled shotgun at her through the windscreen.
Lucy said she froze. Later she speculated that maybe he didn’t shoot because he saw the baby. She then swerved around him into the other lane and escaped. But he overtook her, she says, at 200 kilometers an hour on his small, sporty red motorbike and dodging in and out of the traffic disappeared. Must have been quite a rider. I’m not sure what he’d done with the shotgun by then.
There was also a truck that stopped in the middle lane behind her and that driver must have seen what was happening. With the bike stopped. Lucy stopped. The truck stopped. There must have been some peak hour traffic build-up but Police told us this afternoon that no witnesses had come forward.
The Police media release says ‘The rider is described as having fair skin, aged between 16 and 26 and wearing a dark coloured t-shirt and light coloured jeans. His helmet may have been of an open face design, or enclosed with the visor open.’ Lucy says she doesn’t remember if he was wearing a helmet or not.
The guy was wearing a t-shirt and jeans. Where would he have hidden the shotgun which must have been in easy reach if he could produce it and aim it in seconds? A sawn-off shotgun has got to be 40-50 centimetres long. He wasn’t wearing a jacket to hide it. He wasn’t wearing bulky leathers.
As they used to say in the TV show Dragnet ‘There are eight million stories in this naked city’. The old Police reporter in me says this isn’t one of them.

Arrest over road-rage gun threat
Mex Cooper The Age November 14, 2008 - 12:01PM
An 18-year-old has been charged after a shotgun was allegedly pulled on a woman during a road rage incident on the Hume Highway on Tuesday.
The Craigieburn man has been charged with 15 offences including threats to kill, threat to inflict serious injury and assault with a weapon.
A 32-year-old mother-of-two, who only wanted to be known as Lucy, told police a motorbike rider pointed a shotgun at her after she accidentally cut him off.
The woman was travelling with her nine-month-old baby along the Hume Highway near Cooper Street in Somerton, in Melbourne's outer north, about 5pm on Tuesday when she was allegedly threatened.
The 18-year-old was charged after police today searched his home and a Craigieburn factory where a gun was seized.
He has been bailed to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates Court in January.

I once carried a 30Kg Bag of concrete and a standard issue garden spade back to my home on my ZX6R... I'm pretty sure I could figure out a way to carry a shotgun with me....

Well, well, well.......BS? Perhaps not.....
A TEENAGER has been charged over a terrifying road rage incident during which a woman allegedly had a shotgun pointed at her while driving.
The 18-year-old was arrested after police executed a warrant at an address in Craigieburn this morning.
Another warrant was executed at a factory where a firearm was found and seized by police.
He has been bailed to appear at the Broadmeadows Magistrates Court on January 21.
The man was charged with 15 offences including; threats to kill, threat to inflict serious injury, unlawful assault and assault with a weapon and possession of an unregistered handgun
The 32-year-old victim of the attack told 3AW radio she was "relieved" by the arrest.
She said she had accidentally cut off the rider when she changed lanes on the Hume Hwy at Somerton on Tuesday evening.
After she had apologised, the male rider turned to her, produced what appeared to be a sawn off shotgun and pointed it at her, she said.
The mother-of-two had her nine-month-old baby in the car at the time.

Well, then that settles it. It's now ok to threaten anyone who
accidentally cuts you off with a shot gun.
That reminds me, tomorrow when I take my daughter to see her first live childrens show, I must remember the shotty.......
Dumb argument!

Handgun, shot gun.....same same....bang.....dead.
I can understand how you can hide a hand gun, but it doesn't justify pulling something that resembles a weapon out, pointing it at another driver, regardless of whether they are man or woman and making threats to kill.
He is not a bright spark......but he doens't deserve any support!
