oh well seems it was a cop bike they will upgrade & fix that section of road within a few more months maybe
If it was 1 of our bikes the road will stay the same

That "motivational" poster is hardly accurate. No one got killed..... I hate inaccurate stuff on the internet. Lucky there isn't much of it around!
And I guess 20km/h is a speed.

Nothing wrong with the road. Everything wrong with the fuckwit who thought the best way to move his Gemini, that didn't have a sump plug, was to just fill it with oil and drive it, and when it ran out, fill it up again!

Jeez, what some people will do to get a long weekend...
Maybe I've been look at pictures of cattle too much lately, but the speed kills pic looks like a perished cow on the way to the yards, upside down, legs in the air

...you're joking about the no sump plug...aren't you???
Had Joey Public the young squid from around the corner hit that at a zillion km/h then the outcome may have been a bit different than a BMW parked neatly upside down and a sore neck.
Good the hear you're ok mate.
Mick

Nope.. not joking Mick.
And I agree. Had I been some over-exuberrant L plater going through the roundabout like it was a chicane on a race track, I probably might not have spent the night in my own bed.

No thanks to that numbnut imbecile, really some people would be lonely if they had half a brain

They shouldnt allow people like this to breed let alone steal oxygen from the atmosphere!
Anyway, just imagine this place without you

In 'NSW' you should drive to the road conditions, no matter what they are..So I was told by a judge at Singleton Court House last year..wouldn't matter if an RAAF plane dropped a missile on you mid corner, you should ride with the intention to avoid all road hazards and poor conditions..
Nice stack too..

Firstly, good to see you are ok Jase.
Secondly, LOL Gemini...they still around?
Thirdly, while this may be true, its complete bullshit and i would fight the ticket to the end if i ever got one for this.
Coming home they have stripped up all the asphalt up and havent bothered to do a very good clean up job.
at an intersection where i turn there is gravel laying on the ground from their work, and let me tell you it is damn slippery. I have been through there twice now and both times the rear has kicked out. Thankfully i managed to get control again.
I usually take it at 20km/h, pretty average for a bike around a normal intersection. Sure i could slow down to 5 or 10km/h and take the turn, but i am coming down a main road which its speed limit is 80km/h. I have asshole cagers who want to get home from work in a hurry behind me, and ive almost been taken out here for slowing down to turn in.
So if a copper is willing to give me a ticket because the lazy council workers didnt clean up their mess and i couldnt slow down safely enough due to asshole cagers, then they have another thing coming.

Realisticaly, that's probably true. But... if we did do that, none of us would ever leave home!
The judge sounds like a dickhead. They often are.

Probably so.
Hoffy's referring to the repercussions of the Putty BBQ. All of us except Dave#3 got neg driving charges for that.
The argument being that if we were riding at the recommended 35kph around the corner we should've been able to avoid it.
The alternative would've been the guy at the front taking the full blame for the whole thing and getting a hefty GBH charge - so in this case it arguably came out fairest.
Judge is still a dickhead though, and anyone in NSW would've been charged for slipping on oil.
Glad you're came out of it in good shape - at least it wasn't your bike

UNFKNBLVABLE!! No sump plug!! sounds like his IQ was about the same as a Gem's oil capacity in litres!?
I though we were the only poor suckers who had to put up with oil , diesel , pea gravel or worse still farkin honky nuts (deadly) on what few corners we do have.
Spose the FW factor is not area specific though!?
Glad your ok from WA mate..
[I'm presuming you forwarded a request for a new 1400GTR to replace now slightly used Bimmer LOL]
