I had them on my track bike for a while and they were awesome apart from a slow turn in because of the carcass shape, which is why I reckon they would rock for the road. Not much in the way of rain dispersing, but i don't ride in the rain so wgaf.........
You are taking the piss right ??
those flat Shinky's make a great tyre for street-based drag bikes...........and thats it.
The turn-in is *shit* due to the flat profile, but if all the riding you do is commuting to work and highway stuff, then they are worth a look as a 'value' tyre. They are also shite in the rain.......sometimes it rains when you least expect it, so for my money I would rather have good tyres fitted than rely on dumb luck not to get caught in the wet......

I got a set of Metzeller M3s for $350 delivered at the beginning of the year from Action Parramatta. I don't suppose I'll find a deal like that anytime soon. Be sure to give a heads up when you find a decent deal.

my last set were shinko's, they gripped pretty well, and i got about 12kkm out of them doing commuting, i only started having handling "issues" for the last 400km or so, at which point i decided to cut my losses and replace them as the profile shape was shot (1mm till wear marker at centre and near intact 1cm from the edge), i have since swapped them for a pair of pilot sports and am going to use them a lot more as my probational license is due to wind up in the next three or so days (thank god). Preliminary riding tests show them to be even more confidence inspiring
