Hi Everyone :(
I appreciate all the best wishes and kind words

Yes the bloody gravel got me and i fell of the bike really badly as my leg went one way and my body another

I have a broken " tallus" which is the main weight baring bone in your leg ( its the joint that sits in your foot )
Its broken in two peaces. I also have a fracture on the main bone of the right knee, a torn harmstring and a broken little finger.
Apart from these unfortunate injuries, i have not one scratch or bruise anywhere

After being phucked over a few times at hornsby, i was finally sent to liverpool ( even further from where i live  ) and i had the ankle surgery on Tuesday-6th morning.
4 screws are permanently inserted in my foot to hopefully help with the healing and strength of the bone ( still dont know if i'll have full movement again )
They were going to operate on the knee at the same time but unfortunately the ankle took too long (4 hours)

I've been in bed recovering since and the doctors told me today that they can only operate on my knee on Tuesday week!!!!! :x 20th

If you havent worked it out, i'm still in phucking hospital so i've decided to get wireless internet hooked up on my laptop so i can start catching up on paperwork etc etc..

The bike is gone, so i'm going to start the ball rolling the the insurance (WQBE) ... here we go again...
Just to rub it in my excess is $3000 because of my history...

The holiday and everything else is all gone down the drain.
I will be out of action for quiet some time and apparently you cannot fly long distances with a cast anyway so its all shite.
God knows how much money i've lost etc etc etc.

Anyway, this is long enough as it is...so thanks again to everyone and when i'm not passed out, i'll jump online and say gday.

Cheers

Fred

Good to see you're online dude, even if it's still in horsepiddle. Sorry to hear about the financial impact of your get off, but at least you're in one piece (I know, that's easy to say when you're not the one coughing up the dough but it's true). Good luck with getting everything sorted out, and if there's anything we can do to help don't hesitate to yell out. Also, if you want visitors we're only a PM away.

Get well Fred and we'll see you on the road again shortly.

What do you mean?
The knee surgery is on that day so i have to sit here surrounded by old ladies soiling their gowns for 7 days doing absolutely nothing. Then i'll have to recover.
I'm hoping to start hopping around on crutches a couple of days later and then finally get out of here and go home
