I have not used Pilot power etc... so I think that I might give them a go when the M3s wear out.

Pretty happy with the Shinkos-got them on the ZZR, CB, GT, GN and Z. Cheap, do the job, great in the wet and wear well. What else could you ask for. Rear for the ZZR cost $145- so who cares if it doesn't last. Howls nicely too. :D

nah that sounds fine for a 10... i just kno a few ppl who dont check tyres often enuf..the other night we checked and his 36psi in the rear was actually 22psi!!
Yeah pretty religeous bordering on anal re tyre pressures and chain tension/lube..

My biggest issue is that we don't have many good riding roads here..Most corners can only be made exiting at some pretty high speeds normally high end of 4th/5th.With big arse hardwood either side and or bike eating boulders

End of the day i don't claim to be a Micky D etc.. Just want a reliable tyre that will grip well wet or dry , quick warm up and won't fall apart under the 10.
Will be speaking to a Pirelli rep shortly about the rear.

Spent $375 today on Shinkos- for that I got a front for the DT200, front for the Z440, front for the GT and two rears for the GT. :D Mad Mick is moving 45 mins further away after Christmas. :(

IsleofNinja wrote:Pirelli Diablo Corsa's are my weapon of choice atm.. The ol RZ5 only ever wore pilots as the piddly little tyres needed as much grip as they could get on that bike.

Quick warm up and good grip/feel when hard over... Hard to say if better or worse than other brands ATM as i haven't tried anything else yet.

I am however having an issue with the rear trying to tear itself apart..ie small 8-10mm splits appearing around the centre of the tyre and the leading edges of the tread are starting to peel back ... The damage appears to be due to hard acceleration but you would think the bloody thing would handle it!? Outer radius wearing normally it would appear :?

Anyone else had issues with Pirelli's on litre bikes??

G'day Ninja

I have a corsa3 on the front & standard Diablo rear & I also have the rear tearing at the leading edge of the tread :?
Have been told be a guy doing the pink slip to get rid of it "it's not right" will try to put a pic.

just my 2 cents here:

I previously had pirelli supercorsas pro sc2 front and rear but now ive swapped over to pilot powers.
pros: Pilot power has a higher profile which helps tips the bike into corners better

cons: Dont feel as confident going into corners because they give less feel
When I launch now, I wheel spin off the lights and doesnt feel as stable when going 240+ compared to my old tyres.

Overall: The pirellis woop ass but they just dont last as long but I prefer grip so the next time when i buy tyres, I aint gonna be a tight ass anymore and get the pirellis again.

some say I stress about tyres too much but having good tyres on a bad day, may just save your life.
