They're such pessimists, orthopaedic surgeons... after my knee reconstruction in October last year, I was supposed to stay off the bike for two months. I lasted three weeks. It took that long until I could bend my knee far enough to get it onto the peg... another few days, and I could do it without having to use my left hand to lift my leg off the ground and bend my knee into position...

...in the meantime, I cheered myself up during the week and a half I spent convalescing in bed by buying my current ZX9 off Ebay.

Now I'm off to have a cigarette on the front porch, and I'm taking my coffee with me.
thats similar to me, i was back on a bike 4 weeks after a knee reconstruction cause that was when i could bend it enough - you didnt think i was going to wait 8 weeks did you  i reclon 2-3 weeks and i'll be on the mighty zeph (unless its sold by then and i've got a zrx12)

The next house I buy, first priority will be a bike friendly driveway and enough space in the shed to fit the bikes. Everything else is secondary really.

Yes, I am a certified bikeaholic. Most of my bikes have had very important engine rebuilds, re-sprays etc, which can be measured by the anniversaries of some of my children............
