That's similar to what you're doing isn't it? You haven't even got off your Ls yet and you're trying to upgrade. I admit that the GPX is pretty crap in a straight line, but it can definitely be a challenge in the twisties.

Saki, the ZX250R is the CBR250RR's competition. People will pay a couple of grand more for those than a GPX250.

Not quite. He got a licence, rode (nothing over 500cc) for a little while and hasn't been on a bike from then til now. In those same 30 years I've owned several bikes, ridden others belonging to friends and employers, and the longest I've been off is 5 years. I just never owned a registered one or was able to borrow one in order to get a licence. It was something I just kept thinking I could do later.

I like the GPX. Its a great little bike - but I'm over 6 feet tall. Its bad enough that it feels small, but people constantly pointing it out and making jokes about postie bikes is only funny for the first week.

That is the last straw! The head mechanic just took my bike for a ride 'to compare' as he hasn't been on it since he got the 600. He came in smiling and said, "It's running well - but it wouldn't stop at letterboxes." Hardy har. Everybody's a comedian.
