haha we had an unrelated but similar type thing at work....our boss was getting no sense out of a competitor whos showroom was bagging us to customers, defamation type deal...they wouldnt return his call...so he jumped in the car....
5min after he left i get a call saying "this is ***** im returning Roy's call"
i say "oh hes not in at the moment, but are u in the showroom"??
to which ***** replies "yes but only for a few minutes"
my advice was "id stay there an extra 10min...Roy's on his way, and if your not there your staff are gunna cop a bollocking"
needless to say words were had, Roy came back a happy man, and that store hasnt bagged us to ppl since...
amazing what u achieve wen u go in hostile!!

- what sort of drama's ?
When we decided to get a Prado instead of a Nissan, one of the reasons we went with Toyota was that we spoke to a few NRMA agents over mid-western NSW, just to get an idea of how reliable the Toyota was against the Nissan........
The stories we got back were all consistent. Most NRMA repair/pick-up drivers had *NEVER* collected a Toyota Landcruiser from the side of the road. One bloke had collected an old 80-series cruiser once, it had hit a kangaroo....

, but all of them had *regularly* collected Nissan Patrols , especially the later models ..

and Fords as well, they didn't have a very high opinion of the Exploder (Explorer).....
Toyota's reliability in the outback is legendary. The only down-side is the cost of spare parts !!!

The good news is that you rarely need them !!

thats why the parts cost a heap, they need to make some form of profit!

3 total write off.
but yes there were some warrenty issues as well as delivery, but the car was supposidely coming from perth.
Still dont understand how it takes a month from perth to vic and when he got the car it had no side airbags but they charged him for them. They ended up refunding the money after me and him went down and the cops were called.
