The only way to find out if it is of any value to members, is for those members who have received discounts with a Sponsor to let the Forum know. You could run a 'Sponsor Poll' for a few weeks, this would at least set a baseline of some sort ? Results from a sponsor poll would identify those sponsors who get regular business, and those who don't, and should probably be flicked ??

Having *no* sponsors in the local area here somewhat restricts any feedback  , but like a lot of members, local discounts are already occuring anyway.....

Same here, no sponsors listed for my area AFAIK?

If there was I would use them, generally as a regular at a few shops I can get decent discounts anyway or search the online stores especially importing from the USA.

My only dealings is with Kaneg and Champs Ride Days (thru TrakDaze)

Kaneg i bought a front head stock stand. Good Product, good price and good timeframe on delivery and repsonses to my emails :D :D :D

Champs - I always get my $25 disc for my ridedays by quoting my Trakdaze username to Nic or Scott. never had a hassle with them and they really looked after me when i bought my race suit thru them too :D :D :D

how about a sponsors only section in for sale area. only sponsors can start threads and can offer their services here. in return for access to this area, they agree to uphold their original agreement. offer this to all sponsors and those that don't reply/agree. boot em.

hell, i'll even moderate the section so no bullshit goes on.

Austsales Direct - still offers its discounts

Hello KSRC members,

Throughout the time I have had my advertisement up I've had at least 5 sales that I know of, linked from the KSRC site. Pabs has helped me get my name out for my motorcycle gear, which I appreciate very much :). My prices are very good compared to the markets and retail shops ($180-$225 for leather motorcycle jackets).

The discount I offer is a fixed postage and handling rate of $10 (normally $25), I would prefer you find the motorcycle clothing you want on my eBay page then contact me for a direct sale. If you live locally in the area, you can pick up the jacket at my eBay price (no p&h fee).

Although $15 doesn't seem like a very big discount, it is still a discount. My prices are very competitive, normally a considerable amount cheaper than other sellers. I also offer 30 day warranties for peace of mind and security for my customers. Occasionally 0.99cent NO RESERVE auctions are offered through my eBay page.

This business is solely run by myself, I'll do my best to get involved with the forum conversations however it is a lot of work for one person.

Something we can organise:
I will be happy to donate some gear to KSRC every at different intervals, depending on the sales I get out of the KSRC website.

Dave if your after a suit, I encourage you to check out my ebay store, I have some high quality leather suits starting at fairly low prices. If you would rather your own design I can sell you one custom made for $500 (normally $550 to $650 for a custom made suit)

Sorry for the long message, I will check this forum page regularly to see what your thoughts are.

Austsales Direct is always negotiable. What does the KSRC Members want?

Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt, what's the link? I tried google & ebay -- could not find it.

KSRC is great! Bought the bike from Brighton Kwaka and on my second service I had the sticker, the mechanic saw it and went for a quiet word with the owner :o wow!!

I have only had dealings with race replica, generally have been ok but the last couple of times with both mine and kazzs bike there have been some problems .With comunication with kazz as to what type of service they were supposed to do, and a safety issue with mine in regards to brake lines being fitted but instaled so as they get pinched when locking the steering lock  This was discovered when marty set up my my suspension. This i havent discussed with them but i will send them a pm.I think all shops have there problems but with race replica it seems to be who you deal with as to the service that is provided. Personally speaking I wouldn't know the bloke if he walked in my back yard, never seen him, does he really exist? Spoken to others at race Rep re KSRC discount and they know nothing about it..
Personally speaking not had a great experience on the mechanical side of things from Race rep and from what I have seen Tape has EVERY FUGGIN RIGHT to be going off his nut in regards to the service he's had from Race rep.
Talk about being fucked without lube, these guys made sure they aded sandpaper to boot from what I can gather..
Personally speaking myself I have had good and bad experiences with RR. Trish has always given me a discount, not just on the parts for my bike (when it had its carby problem - thats the bad experience) but on the kawasaki accessories and clothing too.
Kris put everything right for us when the workshop guys f*cked up, they are the ones (in my opinion) who need training in customer service and who are letting the whole team down, and giving RR the bad name that they have on this site.

I will continue to stand by RR as well. It was Kris and Steve that supported the KSRC Ladies calendar as well and brought over the 2 bikes we played with here.
The ladies in the spare parts area are also fantastic when my local Kwaka dealer kept giving me the wrong centre stand spring I had enough and drove the 45min to RR and they took the time to go through pictures with me and show me the part before I ordered it. Now I don't have a Kwaka I wont be there as often but if anyone is going to get my business on a ZX6R I can tell you it will only be RR. :D :D

Oh and Zombie LOVED the pants you had on at Strika's :D

   To be very honest mate, two local bike dealers here I used to always go to. When I was looking for a bigger bike I couldn't get any service at all. It took me 4 times to go into the local Kwaka dealer even though I was a regular there before they would even let me sit on a bike. The local Yamaha dealer was worse. Then when I went to buy Diane's bike for her I had to chase someone up to come and serve me and it was amazing how many people wanted to once they knew you had cash there and then to spend. Difference to I found with RR is that I had never met any of them down there just asked Kris via email if we could use is bikes for the photo shoot and he said yes. He brought over 2 bikes.
