And looking even tidier with a set of Avon slicks on them, yes, you heard it, 18" slicks. Is there anything that can't be found hidden in the depths of the Fourth? They won't be suitable for racing, but they are perfect for displaying the bike as it was in 1981 and more than useable for someone to do some demo laps on them at the Sheene. When Gos has got his abysmal internet problems sorted (we'll be communicating by neural networking before that happens, I reckon) he'll post up a few pictures, he said they look a treat.
The fairing has had the headlight holes glassed up now and is ready for painting so, if I don't get a call for school tomorrow, it will be a flying trip to Fyshwick and the excellent Redback Racepaint so that Paul can complete the paint job.
The list of things to complete is still long and the budget and time is shrinking correspondingly but, between the man with the Tardis garage and me, we still reckon we're going to get it done.

Now, then, doesn't that look nice?
And that looks pretty slick (*pun*) too!
Today I took the fairing to Canberra for Paul to complete the painting. That should be completed next week. Then the glass will be attached to the frame and it will be over to Alan's place in Canberra to have the green striping attached and then it's all mechanical stuff from there. A very profitable meeting (albeit short) with the Gos and progress is excellent. As of tonight, both wheels are fitted properly, throttle mechanism is nearly sorted and it's coming together.

No, Steve, there is someone else who has told the club that he doesn't want any help...no further comment required from me. That's OK, it will leave me plenty of time to lay back and soak up the atmosphere.

Can you make Jamie loose 10 kilos and donate a fresh set of lungs, he might need the latter after P1
