Hahahahahahahahahahah.... Plas and I were discussing that very thing yesterday. WTF??
The only thing we came up with was maybe they'll have some factory aero-fitted-to-the-body-shaped panniers that bolt on there.

Or the brackets for a rack?
Or to fit to the pillions boots so they don't slide off the back during moderate acceleration

Ha ha Nice idea Mike,
actually George at Boltons Kawa was of the opinion they are for factory grab handles/rails to be released later.

Or wheelie bars so you know when you've gone too far with all that POWER!!

I only got to sit on one yesterday and compare it to the 12, hate to say it butthe 12 looks positively ancient next to the 14 and feels a lot bigger and heavier.
having done the comparison
I was amazed that the 12 and 14 feel so similar
despite the 14 weighing more
Kawasaki have done a great job

But you are not rushing out to buy one eh Smitty??
Turns up at the Kwaka dealer here this week
We are both interested to see how it stacks up against the (modded) 12...
And MORE bloody restrictors THANKS Kwaka you barstards....
AND I go with Barrabob, I think the run in period is more for the RIDER than anything to do with the bloody bike.....

...
no mate
why?
I actually prefer the look of the 12 to the 14
the front of the 12 looks more agressive
and the 14s rump is aaaaahh....decidely ugly
imho
cheers
