Mate, should have asked him whether the 2005 ZZR600 is making it down-under, and is really a part-for-part replacement with a 2002 ZX-6R

...lots of nice bits out there in that case 8)

Good Work Dave! Its good to see some recognition from Kawasaki Australia that we exist and there is no problems in use of name.

Mick, this is Marks reply.. and some info on an S model z750...

Hi Dave,

ZZ-R600 (ZX600-E) remains as is for Australia, don't know about other
markets, but I haven't seen anything to indicate a new model so it's
doubtful at this stage. The 05 ZZ-R600 will be silver and apart from
the
colour change (03 and 04 were blue) it's the same... Which I reckon is
good
'cause the ZZ6 is a great sports tourer and has a loyal following here
in
Aus. Other bikes that have come into the line up elsewhere include the
Z750S, maybe it's on our list for 06? The S has a nifty half fairing
and
good pillion grab rails, but, sadly, it's not for us... Time will tell.

MB.

Thanks Dave, very much obliged.

Either way I'm a happy boy, and the '05 is still on the cards unless they have a '04 still hanging around for heaps less that is

...had a look at the Z750S on the US Kawasaki website, nice looking bike. As well as their 'ZZR600' in "(name of color) blue"

I find the situation where the Yanks call one bike a ZZR600, while we call a completely different bike the same thing, entirely bizarre :?

Mick
the model info is the same...worldwide
its just that the Kwaka marketing wankers get at it
and we get a ZZR and they get a whatever they think of... :o
