I just put on a set of crash knobs on the 636, they look fucking fantastic. very professional fit. I remember someone telling me you previously had to cut a hole in your fairing to make them fit? This set used some brackets mounting off the engine mount and a very solid crossbar going inbetween the exahust manifold and the radiator as support. Put them on in about 30 mins. Very happy.
Go for it in other words.

Nar they dont do that, get along to an bike auction and have a look. Where they bolt to the frame they bend and snap it along with the engine block some of the time. There not worth shit unless ya drop your bike washin it.

				crash!
Unfortunately my model 9 requires you to drill the fairings to fit engine mount ones (which are the best/strongest), hence I just got the fairing mounted ones instead. They still are solid as all hell but they just bolt to a frame tab rather then the main engine mount. Not quite as good but better then nothing I reckon.
The shiny alloy ones look pretty good as well
