its only *speeding* if you are fined - otherwise its just a ride, at your chosen rate of velocity. Which may be above or below some arbitrarily determined speed *limit* for the particular piece of tarmac that you happen to be riding on .........generally *above*.........
If you exceed the speed limit while overtaking a vehicle (ie a semi-trailer), in order to get past it safely (ie and not get cleaned up by the vehicle coming in the opposite direction)..........well, I guess in that situation it is a case of *safe speeding*..........
Its all a load of frogshit. Speed is just a relative concept, governed by a machiavellian society more interested in the cheap easy blame game, than actually doing something about the shithouse condition of the roads we use, and the even greater shithouse condition of the driver training provided..............
Uhhhhhhh, yup!

I'm off the road for a bit now so im safe from tickets
but I have nothing but contempt for anying that doesn't say '40' or '50'
being a serial hoon gets pricey though (unless you get a ticket for 200 in a 100 zone and have it cancelled the next day

)

speed limits are just to raise revenue,not to save lives.i often speed to get myself out of canberras IDIOT traffic,couse if u sit in the traffic they will run u down.

plus there have been studies done that state that slower speeds can cause drivers minds to wander
but me being a speed freak has absolutly nothing to do with this way of thinking

I don't speed much .... but then my ZZR tops out at about 155ish anyway
I have completely disregarded the 80km/h limit for learners for quite some time now, and many a freeway policeman has comfortably cruised past me on the freeway without batting an eyelid (i do sometimes wonder why they need to travel at 140+ all the time though).

Actually - i have ONCE seen a policeman observing the 110km/h limit in my 6 years of road use and that was during the recent easter weekend 'blitz'.
