Yeah I'm a member of the SSAA, but am also club captain of our own small pistol club based a Auburn.
How about yourself?
Still shoot out at St Marys when I get the chance, mostly with rifles though.
I also a bit pest control for a couple of farmers that I know, I spent half my youth growing up between Sydney and Griffith, so I know a few people out that way, and out towards Bathurst and Yass plus dad just bought a property just this side of Goulbern.

Yeah the 5 km of private road their building would make a pretty good place to practice stunting.
The property itself would make for some pretty good dirt bikking as well. Lots of hilly bits with some reasonably flat bits, all I gotta do now is buy a dirtbike.

Yeah, both the BF and myself shoot out at St Marys, both of us are in the pistol club there. I do air (target and silhouette) and he does metal silhouette, usually at Mudgee.
He also has rifles, but I prefer air rifles so I use his. Mostly though I much prefer my little bow and arrows.
Barrabob, you do need a licence for slug guns these days. Target shooting is a mentally challenging sport and requires much personal discipline to do well. The BF is currently into IPSC, which is like a combat scenario-based international comp.

I have friends who live on a soldier block west of rocky they had to register all their guns then just after that they made them hand them in well that was a while back now.
Small semi auto shotguns are great for clearing the snakes out of the laundry and stopping the nasty birds from pecking the kids in the driveway....yeh they arent allowed to nest near the house theres a gazillion other acres around there with trees to make a nest.
Cant see a use for them in suburbia myself but got on a train the other day and there was three coppers with hand guns hanging off their belts so i supose they where off to shoot someone.
Must be getting cynical.

Now if you were in Vic I would believe they were off to shoot somebody...
