when i got my licence back..i cant get insurance for 3yrs now...sooo....

do i spend $12k on a zx10r, knowing im likely gunna lose my licence...and not insure it (cos i cant)

or keep a beaten up 929 that rides like a dream but looks like shit, and is insured for twice wot its worth??

.....u do the math...
U need to do more research if U cant obtain insurance for another 3yrs
bc of loss of license..

Insurers out there who'll cover U mate.. U may just cop a higher excess bc
of driving history.. I'd rather have that then no insurance at all

Kishy- i currently have insurance thru Famous classic cars, they gave me another year, but apparently once u claim once, they dont re-insure.

when i got my lic back in july i test rode a zx10r..i also applied for a loan...i also got quotes on a zx10r, then a z1000...

no dramas with the loan....

dramas with insurance.....in SA several insurers wont insure bikes over 750cc, or with a rider under 30...the few who did were real pricey ($2000 plus) and gave me HUGE excess (like another $2k) ...and that was only if they would take me...

RAA,QBE wont take me based on accidents, and fines
Shannons,Arista etc because of age.

chances are i tried em all..i REAAAALLY wanted that zx10r...
