the MV ain't a dirt-tracker ?? bloody hell, aren't these bikes meant to be able to do *anything* ??

sounds like you had a really *phat* time ya lucky barstage......was Slapper on this trip ??

nah mate, slappa is in spain working for dorna. thats how come i got his old gig at the superbikes.

the guys on this test were Matho, Matt (Shields, dep ed), Ralph who used to be a riding instructor (fark he can ride a bit  ) and Greg who makes quinns leathers and used to be one of the bike testers for revs - remember that mag. he has also done a fair bit of racing and - cop this, over 3 *Million* road k's    what do they say about old age and experience.

oh and some fat bastage (who wasnt disgraced  )

one of the most memorable rides was yesterday arvo after the photo shoot. ralph mick and matt had about 1 min lead on me when i pulled out, i could just see them *over the crest* of hills some times. i knocked it back 20 untill i could see greg catching and then wound it back on. I was on the 10, my favorite bike and he was on the MV, his favorite. this is the long term test bike that AMCN has and greg - cause he does lots of k's has the task of "putting 2 years of use into 6 months" - will be the custodian and write the progress reports.

let me just say we were travelling along quite well - engines singing in the "fun zone". that was a *very* memorable ride. it would have been about 30 odd k's of nirvana. Gos, think "run to cathcart" (after the mountains) for 30 k's

nah mate, no snow yet.

it was just yer run of the mil hyperbike test

and honestly the honda was the worst of the lot. and you know i'm being honest in my thoughts - how else could the R1 come second. *I* am having serious issues with myself about this:lol:

BUT as i said before they are all ball tearers, i had fun on the 10 mile on the h*nda - had the farker cranked over a few times.

BTW my new boots, are no longer new :o

Phil, is that a dream job or what? Man I am more than just jealous. Well done fella.

So the MV is that good huh? Good to see they can mix it with the Jap stuff.

I take it the R1 was the normal model not the SP? If so, do you think the SP would have been the fastest thing there? It seems they all might start making such limited edition machines if it is successful, particularly in racing.

Just in case you're not sure Phil, we think your a bastard, but a lucky one. :D

I presume that's Ralph Leavesy Mose who went along. The man is a bit of a legend around instructing circles and as you've alluded to pretty damn handy. Ralph has tutored some fairly well known racer types over the years also.

Shit you must hate your job
