mate that sucks,
can we post up a sticky, a stolen bike section, and you can whack up all your numbers (VIN, engine etc).

Dude check out the council pound and ring the towies to see if they had a job number for it.

I asume you rang the cops as well but ring the towiies like ready for starters and maybe western suburbs as well.

Man that would really suck. :(

Elrond i checked out the local towies and they say it all has to be logged with the plod before they can tow so if the bike walked on the back of a towtruck it would be logged.

Be assued if any oif the bits turn up in the wrong place you will be the first to know about it.

Dont know if you can ring around the breaker about the place with the vin number.

Seems theres a lot of theft up this way of late just have to kneecap the fuckers responsible.

What a carnt act ... you poor bastard. I you find the fucker's be sure to do two things:

Damn that blows! Hope you get it back! I have left two of my bikes on the Toowoomba range in the last couple of years, for hours on end when they broke down (Z440 did ignition pickup, CB400 voltage reg) and they were there when I came back, hours later. Maybe I was lucky... Betcha if the c*nts get caught they get a slap on the wrist.....

Thankyou everyone for your support.

The police contacted the towies last night when I was at the station and they have nothing on their books.

I'm going to give all the bike shops a call today and notify them.

Tough luck mate.

Why would anyone steal a broken down bike?

I suspect it has been 'taken away' by some tow company.

As i said on osb......really sux mate! :( Keep an eye on the various internet sales incl bike sales/trading post etc. Also anyone trying to offload zx7r parts as well.

RG....not hard if you got 2 people, ute, plank of wood, couple of tiedowns....bike gone literally in mins. Know one would question it....just would think some dude picking up his broken down bike.

Bummer about the bike, that really sucks...

I wouldn't even think they would bother with tie downs. Pick it up and throw it the back of ute / trailer and drive away. They wouldn't care if it gets scratched....

We've had a few stolen bikes of late. A stolen bike register may be the go.... I'll look into it..

Mate that is horrible!

I saw the bike parked on the opposite side of the Freeway around maybe 2:45 on the way to the drags on saturday, I remember pointing it out to my Father and telling him it is like the one I used to own. So it was definitely still there then, if you want to update your original post.

I was wondering why it was there, but was already late to the drags and on the opposite side of the freeway so kept a move on.

Mate a quick question, what is with the Power Commander? I thought ZX7Rs were all carby, what does the Power Commander do? Sorry bout the stupid question.

Good luck dude, I have been a victim of bike theft myself, albeit in different circumstances.

If they are going to sell it whole they will do it in another state... Some sucker will buy it for cheap....

OMG I cant believe it.... a ZX7R for $4000 woohoo.... and then they will try to register it .... at which point you will probably get your bike back if you are lucky...
