That's fine if you want them for cosmetic reasons (didn't know you were into make up but it takes all kinds I guess)
but as Yoda pointed out, cosmetics will include a canary if caught and being a Kiwi you don't want a green and gold bike do you?

FWIW I bought 2 bog standard car headlight protectors from Autobarn or some such place for around $40 if I recall correctly ages ago, one does the headlight and the other is a damn fine tank protector and shitloads cheaper than Geelong Carbon Craft.

i have a blue tinted cover and and never had a prob. been past and ridden behind tmu and regular police, even the yellow highway patrols in a carpark where i woulda been easy pickings but they didnt do shit.
You stand out easier as mates have told me.. and bugs dont go for it either.
Soooo
1) looks good
2) you stand out (more car awareness)
3) less mess
4) no hassles from police
go for it
