they are mate, a great bunch indeed....

shitters ditchers, mate if you can drag 250hp out of a 12 *without* a hair-dryer or some No2, could you please advise all the 12 owners on the site

how you did it ?? Thats *serious* hp .......but good luck, you should check out the zx12.org site in the states if you are looking for some 12-specific technical info - they have done it all........

Well I spose I should welcome you in your own thread too lol.
I reckon that sort of power is doable with valve timing and all the extras, they can pull over 300 out of Pro-Stock bikes so why not? Would be an absolute animal on the street though. But that is why it would be so cool. I reckon go for it Mr Spawn.
Oh and next time you come in, come and see me (on a Friday or Thursday is good) and let me know who you are, and I will get that shirt in for ya. Ask for Drim. We do not normally special order shirts, but I do it for people I know.

I am not a mechanic by any means. Quite the opposite. But I could get an extra 87hp out of a 83 vf750 10 years ago without a turbo. I should easily be able to gain more horses with the zx12 with the technology these days. Thanks for that zx12.org site.
Thanks everyone again for the great welcome. I will drop in and say hiya sometime, HemiDuty.
Cheers

Gidday and welcome fellow 12R rider, wet No2 is the way to spray, that will get the HP numbers you are looking for but study the requirements and you need a rich air fuel ratio and back off on the timing which will/maybe necessary.
If I recall correctly, the stock motor is reliable enough for this extra power and won't melt the slugs.
Big bore kits are fine, the 1270cc Muzzy or the 1290cc Ape kits are the way to go, the larger kits have caused a few dramas especially with heat and reliability issues.
Turbo's for the bike were never popular in comparison to the Hiyabugly which has many a kit made for it and there is no top speed de-restriction available for the B4 (04-06), apparently 1st to 3rd has no restriction unlike the 00 to 02/03? bikes, there is a guy working on it for top speed events such as Maxton so I wait for his development.......
They stopped doing anything for the B4 as the ZZR14 was more important unfortunately, muzzy and all the others did not do anything, the Bonneville box does nothing and the Speedo healer or yellow box can't be used to trick the ECU as far as I know which is disappointing as the 04 upwards went to a 32 bit ECU.
I look forward to hearing of your future developments
Good luck with it all

Could talk to alex at lae racing at gebung he has one their (zx12r) with nitrous and turbo and currently gets 265 hp out of it but reckons it needs bigger injectors, pretty sure it has the stock pistons in it but is decompressed.
hasa dyno and stuff and is good at finding hp.

Must be down on boost pressure or is too small??
