QLD transport does suck...

Rego checks are only done when selling a vehicle and they are extremely anal about every little thing.

Hemi - that one was gold...

Don't know what you guys are doing wrong??
I rode my bike over to the greenslopes branch unregistered a couple of months ago, no plates, just the insurance, roadworthy, and an old rego paper from the previous owner. I gave the woman the papers after waiting 15 minutes and 10 minutes later I was out the door with new plates. They didn't even look at the bike to verify the VIN and engine No.
Mind you, I did have a pump-action shotty in my hand and had blasted my way to the head of the que.

hey hey... what is this, QLD bashing or what!!!

Actually I don't mind, I come from the old country and was shocked to see how bad the roads are over here... and when they repair them, pah, what a joke... i wanna make a website which shame the local council and goverment... keep tuned.

They are traffic light mad here too.. i got pretty depressed when i turned up and realised that every little side road has a set of traffic lights and they are scared to use roundabouts. Half the roundabouts are so bad, that you can't lean the bike over at all unless you want to crash.

The rego... pah! rip off, you pay the same as a 4 cylinder car (400 odd) and to think bikes don't wear down the road like cars do and bikes aren't ridden as much as cars on the whole.

What can i say, to find a nice bit of smooth road (espically when you have a 636 03) no traffic lights is a rare treat... and they wonder why bikers have so many accidents around here.

Otherwise, QLD is great for riding ;)

Trouble is martin, we have a vast country and only a few million people to pay for all the infrastructure. I say only a few cause half the nation is on welfare

I can whinge it up as good as any pom!
