Yeah, Steve gave a better description of the corner itself... was annoying as I probably could have gone around it, I was just looking at Decoy and that's where I went 8)

Picture of injuries sustained attached. WARNING: NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH!

I got off pretty damn well :P

Barrabob wrote:The crash damage sucks and i am glad to hear that you guys are okay, pays to leave a little room between the bikes on the road that way if something bad happens you have plenty of room to stop.

And it looked like a very nice 250 too  may be better to leave a few scratches on it these things come in threes.

They always do come in 3s, don't they?

Yeah it WAS nice-lookin' before, but now it's got some character. That's how I'll try and defend my lack of skill to my friends :P

Ksrc's official entry for the Barry Sheen 200mph Daytona I binned it & walked away Award ............ NOT.

Alisdiar got worse injuries off his hungry cat while napping on his lounge last week.

Glad everyone's ok guys.

Now dont do it again unless your going to provide full re enactment photos like Jas & Neka do for this type of event.
Cheers Brett

Bummer about the off but luckilty your OK and the bike isn't badly damaged.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the fall.

How about that happening just after I post a message telling you I reckon your tyres are fine and not to worry about the bike losing grip on a corner!

How fast were you going, rough idea? Are your leathers badly rashed, or will a spot of black Dubbin hide all the injuries?

PS - for some reason (probably the 'Shaman' name) I thought you were a girl, possibly South American, possibly wearing a big headdress with feathers and beads. It just goes to show noone ever looks like you expect them to look.

HAHAAH understandable.. I'm often confused for a South American girl, actually.

At a guess I was approaching the corner about 80ish (going to take the corner around 50km/h), saw Decoy go off to the right and I slowed down to follow him, realised I'd run outta road nice and quick and proceeded to lock it up, just as Decoy had done in front of me.

Dubbin should fix up the leathers, though - the top half is ok, only a couple of scratches, but I'm quite proud that my knee-scraper actually has a kinda-legit scratch on it now hehe :)

Onya Shaman...

Glad to hear you walked away from it and the bike doesn't look too badly dinged up.

Chalk this one up to experience... :?

Oh.. I thought you meant I looked like Ricky Martin when you said I looked like a South American girl... :P

I actually can't wait to get back on there and get out for another ride, really... I said to Plas yesterday that I think it would have been worse for my confidence if I'd come off and hurt myself, but I chose to bring it down in such a way that quite possibly saved me from becoming sauce, so I feel better about it :)

I just can't believe my indicator bulb and the filament itself actually survived the impact, lol!

Hey, you look very Ricky Martin-esque, I'm sure the record contract, hordes of screaming fans and spots on TV chat shows are on the way too. Just remember though that your chick-magnetism is null and void as soon as LEO is in town.

Yeah, it's a skill knowing how to fall off in a way that you don't mangle yourself. Unfortunately the one time I came off I had no control over the process, which doesn't do a lot for my confidence! The only positives I can say about my fall are:
- the leathers worked great
- I didn't crash my own bike
- I did crash a Honda
