Gedday Ron,

More of a lurker not a fighter (or is that lover?) Doing a reno on the house and got 2 young active boys but getting the kays up on the oldie on long weekend trips away when I can. Will see u guys down at the supers in 3 weeks.
Went down to the PI classic at the end of Jan (ferkin brill) and wore the KSRC T and met Strika and Buck. Lots of Zeds, GSs, CBs - magic.

Gotta joke for you (always end on a possie)-

Guy goes into a club to talk to the function manager.
"Mate, got this great bird show, you interested"
"Bird show!, bird show!, bird show! - everyone's got a bird show. No I'm not interested"
"But this is a really special bird show"
"Thats what they all say , get the hell out of here"
So he flew out the window.

Seeya later,
Tony

:P what a great selection of photos - from the days when Men were Men and motorbikes had High Wide Handlebars....... truly a spectacle of racing 'real' road bikes.........at least as they were at the time.....

nothing better than wrestling a 240kg 140hp monster around a track on skinny 140/70's...........you young blokes don't know how lucky you are with bikes built the way they are today......

(mind you us old farts on ZX10's and 12's aren't complaining either....)

Gos, there are still a few real road bikes around....albeit with the help of some new technology.

 no arguments from me matey, I *love* them old nakedbikes......and the ZRX is top of the heap in every way.........

A few years ago I test-rode the first ZRX1100, it was a great bike, but I couldn't then justify spending the $$$ to buy one, as in reality, it was not really that different to my old Z1000...........it handled a little better (the old Z is fully braced, has upgraded suspension, etc), it accelerated about the same (the Z is a DFI 1100,) and its brakes were a good deal better (upgraded brakes on the Z, but still older-style single piston  ).

The newer ZRX's are so similiar in riding position and *feel* to the old GpZ1100B1/B2 its just not funny.........
