That has been my experience with them and why I won't be back. Whales aren't much better. I wonder iof you bought my old ZZR1100 which I traded in there. It was a 1996 green one with 97 raised '1100' decals on the tail.
Nah. '93 ZZr1100, Black and Teal Green. Goes like the clappers and tries to kill you on bumps because the rear shock has had the bullet. Currently saving my pennies for a new shock. Looks like it is going to be something cheap like a Hagon. Also want to fit a Factory Pro jet kit and a K&N filter. Just have to stretch the finances a bit, or wait till the kids grow up and move out. Might have to sell one of them

Ahh...seeing him for tyres this afternoon

What, self servicing? You mean break my nails?!
Neither I nor Jeff has any mechanical talent other than the basics, so I would rather pay someone who knows what they are doing do the job. On that note, I would be interested in doing a basic mechanical course. Does anyone know if any of the bike shops, or anyone else, runs one?
Cheers

I have used him once or twice when I had a bike, nice guy.
They have moved to a new location on Southpine Rd in Brendale.

I take my bike to Startline cause Whales took only 2 hours + a bit to do a major service , not possible as it takes that long to change plugs let alone valve check , water ,oils ect

I have also used des roberts in the past and found him to be very good. He came highly recommended by a friend who was a mechanic for 20odd years but can no longer work due to an injury.
Des quoted me about $230 for the 12000km service on my Z1000.

I was after a bulb for my speedo. Went to Midtowns, they had none in stock, but quoted me $12.70. Rode down to Whales (now called Pro Kawasaki), they had them in stock and only charged $8. I did the fitting myself, that was fun.......
