Hi Ben, it's a fancy name for a small mudguard that sits just over the top of the rear wheel and stops shit flying off your back tyre onto your mates and their bikes. Handy is you have a sportsbike with no rear fender. 8)

They also make them out plastic, but the carbon fibre ones look the goods.
Thanks Ratmick,

I don't think I will get a carbon fibre one but I will have a look around for a plastic one. One question though what happens when I mono to about 90 degrees...will it scrape....... hahaha  . That will never happen as I would need a proctologist to get the seat out of my arse when I suck it in.

Another thing is that I will probably be the last in line on rides cause everyone else will go flyin pass me..hehe

Cheers
Ben

mate when you install, use a hairdryer to get the tank nice and warm ,and use it on the protector as well. You need everything to be nice and warm/hot when applied ( or sit the lot in the *sunshine* for 10-15 minutes)

unfortunately not, but you can see a decent picture on the site

http://www.geelongcarboncraft.com.au just follow the zx12 links.

my 12 is black, and from some angles, its really hard to tell that it even has a protector fitted - but I am happy with this look anyway. It is good quality gear, I am hoping to also get the top tank cover and fairing inners for Fathers Day !! maybe. Maybe I might get new mower blades

If everyone can PM once with what they want, that will be the G-O.

Otherwise I'll be trolling through what looks like will be a 5 page thread and I'll miss someone.

Looks like we have WA and Vic distributors so far. If the Qld guys are OK with it they can pick up from Nerang or for those further afield we might still have to freight in that state. Scotty37, if we end up with needing a distributor in Qld are you good for it?
I only wnat GCC to freight to one address in each state or we will lose some of our bargaining power.

I won't reply to all the PM's until after I get the pricing.

Alex

its worth it...
Well considering you can order them from the GCC web site, i think the dealers would have a good idea that you can get them direct .......
ahh ok..maybe he isnt using dealers now as he has built the business up?? wen i was buying direct it was abt 3 yrs ago...

and plasma..he said $280..not $415..u clown...

Hey NEka, that is what the web says for the 05 ZX6R hugger! If he was willing to do them that cheap then damn, I would more than likely get one!

Righto folks, for a start it seems that some are confused about the pricing I have been given vs the web site.

The website prices are not the ones we are paying. As I said, I have an indicative price for a ZX12, 05 model, hugger at $280 + freight. I really can't see how those for 636's or 9's will be dearer.

So far have 8 rear huggers to price, 2 front guards, a belly pan and a tank protector to organise.

Don't forget they are carbon fibre standard and if you want a colour, you'd better let me know.

Anyone else?

Will we let non-kawasaki people get stuff as well? :P

If so, I will let the guys on Perth Street Bikes know, should be able to get a few more sales definitely (which should give us an even bigger discount!) :)

The more, the merrier, I reckon.

If anyone knows anyone who wants some product from these folks, and is happy to abide by the guidelines, then I'm happy to let 'em in on it.

If we keep this up, we'll probably be one of their largest orders next month so we should be able to bust a good deal.

We will have a vote between all the buyers in each state to pick the delivery address for the main delivery. I will put this to all members in that state toward the end of the month.

Bear in mind that the person who receives all the goods will be responsible for distributing the goods to those more remotely located in their state. Suggest parcel post will do best. Will also need to price the parcel based on insured/registered mail. Bit of mucking around, but that's what group buys are all about!

Yeah Alex, I will do the QLD delivery thing if needs be.

Did ya get pricing on the set of tank protectors (knee and back/top ones) :?:

I might go and have a look for a front fender extension, getting a few too many hits to the radiator for my liking :?

Cheers
