holy guacamole Batman, somewhere with rego costs MORE expensive than the ACT ?? That is just too horrific to contemplate. They used to do the 3/6/9 month breakdown here as well, now its just 3/6/or full year.
There is a slight silver lining up here - you can still get 3 months rego per year, and as long as you re-register within 12 months of expiry, then just front up at the counter and pay the man. No inspections......no pink slips.....no inspection fees......I know of a HR that has been regoe'd like this for oh...about 10 years !! Only gets used during summer. Also very good for dirt bikes etc.
cheers
ChookyDave ( ring a DING Da DANG DANG dinga - I

I dug out the latest Vic rego papers for the 750
rego...$32.10..that is NOT a misprint
TAC Insurance fee $355.00
Bike Levy $50.00
farkin' stamp duty...$40.50 (10% of the TAC/bike levy

)
total $477.60
Vic is not too bad 'cept for the bike levy
and
after having seen the TAC is action (the Toyrun off)
I cannot bitch about that fee...
cheers

I hope they always leave Bacchus Marsh as country. The bike is $97.90 cheaper than yours Smitty. I didn't realise we got such a break.

Dave
if the bike is registered at an addie in Vic
the TAC is your only choice.....the govt gives you NO option
still
for a universal no-fault personal accident insurance scheme
I ain't complaining
and the service (having had the 2 of us use it

) is very good
..as most members know, they patched my missus (and me) up
after our road debris 'off' at last years Toyrun
cheers

Hope you were OK after the 'off', if they did their job properly, well that is a very good thing. Insurance is the same up here - we have no option other than NRMA coverage with ACT rego. I guess its not too bad, the results in NSW are apparently much worse ?? You get a choice there - pay a shitload, or pay a bigger shitload

some choice.....
