An estimated $75million revenue for the Tough Mudder company in 2012 from $2million in 2010. This year would be even bigger, so I can't imagine the amount of money they would be bringing in.

I thought it was originally meant to be out on a property in Picton (same as the Spartan Race, and other obstacle course races), but I with the amount of people that have already signed up and paid upfront (current entry price is $145-$155), they could probably move it anywhere they want.

I am not really surprised that SMSP cancelled the track day and will host the 2day event, surely they are only concerned about the profit that they can make.

It would be interesting to see how many people took anual leave and had accomadation booked paid for, due to travelling from out of state etc.

I wonder if they will be have the money refunded for all the other costs involved, not just the cost of the ride day.

I'm sure it's in the fine print that ecrd/ardc can do what ever they like with no compensation for the displaced
