From memory (I did this about 2 years ago) The rod that you put through on one sidescrews up and tightens only 2 of the velocity stacks and similarly the other side.

The rod has a metal spacer approx 20-30mm long between each velocity stack to line them up correctly. If you didnt notice them you probably dropped them and didnt reinstall them.

Sorry my bikes arent at home and I dont have access to them properly at the moment. I woulda taken it apart for a pic. I can do it on Saturday sometime if u can hold out till then as I gotta clean up after a blown oil filter seal caused an oil mess at the last trackday :roll:

I think he did EDU and lost the spacers between the velocity stacks. Probably an air leak causing his issues!

The thing is... if you didn't notice them and you still managed to pull the airbox out and put it back you probably broke something. 'Cause the airbox on my bike won't budge till I made sure they're properly loose. And I always make sure to push the airbox back and check if the velocity stacks are sitting flush before tightening everything back to avoid air leaks.

after the idles been set past 1000rpm.. its sitting on 1.3k rpm-1.5k rpm atm...
