No it isn't. Read the parliamentary enquiry report released today. Not a word about it. The only 'push' came from one spastic copper from the middle of buttfuck nowhere.

It's not happening, it will not happen.

but
it IS still a topic that the senior ranks of the Vicpol TOG bring up in their discussions with the pollies (whether we like it or not)

Front plates are deader than the dodo. As much as some Vic coppers would like it to happen....it won't.

Same thing with hi-viz clothing. It ain't happening anytime soon either ......thank fuck for that

But these days with all the smart phones etc - there is no excuse for allowing any vehicle to run out of rego. Labels are old-school, costly and a pain in the arse. Eventually - Vic will fall into line with the rest of the country and ditch the bastards :kuda:

Why do you have to remember renewal dates? Do they not send you a bill a month before it's due saying pay me? That's how it works for me! Renewal reminder goes on the fridge with all the other bills...

Gotta love the NSW RTA/Gov or whatever it's called now.

"Hey great news you don't have to put those annoying Rego stickers on your windscreen anymore "wow the gumbyment is so helpful"". 12 Months later HWP pulls you over and says "Your vehicle is un-registered, uninsured etc here is thousands of dollars in fines" but I didn't get the rego papers doh.

Now that obviously won't happen to the majority of people but it's a win win for the gumbyment because 1. they dont have to make rego stickers anymore 2.they will have increased revenue from people being booked for unregistered vehicles.

It's the same as how a while back they said "Hey we are going to reduce the amount of points you lose when booked for speeding but increase the fine $ amount becasue that's better than losing your license from total points loss"

Win win for the gumbyment because 1. they get more money from fines 2. people lose less points from said fines thus allowing them to be on the roads for longer allowing the possibility of more fines occuring.

VIC & NSW certainly have the money making business sorted from our roads. Rant :kuda:

It's just a another revenue raising sheme 1______ why would they print, labels cost money the fine for no rego = no insurance both comprahensive & government 3rd party may be 1 of those 4 wheel wankers run,s u off the the road & pisses of----the bikes a ride off---- o shit where,s the rego papers great it ran out last month do you think the insurance company is going to pay out. no way. Their on a win------- less payout,s are you getting cheaper rego with the cost saving----Noooooo- are they making more revenue in fines Yeeeessss did the NRMA oppose the idea . In western australia this year between jan & april there where 2,800 drivers fined for driving un registered vehicle's and half of these riders ---drivers were involved in accidents and a lot of those BiG $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ you might be selling the house aaaaaaand bike to pay for your next get off .. considering there are only 1million license holder.s in WA imagine NSW with 3.5 million . australian's are turning into a bunch off soft cock's . Putting up with shit in the first place if your lucky the next wanker that run's into you will be registered

+1 billion.

What a totally mindless rant. If 2,800 dickheads cannot remember when their rego is due, that is enirely their own fault and they deserve all the shit that goes with it. Suck it up 2,800 unregistered dickheads !

Ok then, don't complain when you get done for driving unreg in a fleet car, mate's car or any vehicle that is not yours.

Yes you can check online when the website actually works and it is the drivers responsibility not the owners to ensure it is registered and roadworthy. You had better be sure it is as there is no insurance cover otherwise.

I am use to checking EVERY vehicle iam about to drive now as the fine and loss of points is a good incentive. We have had a few issues with customers vehicles being unreg and our mechanics being let off with a warning in the intro period. It use to be much easier to look at the label and quicker. For bikes I agree that no label is neater and before every ride I check my rego as mobile coverage can vary later.

All I am saying for me it has become more work and time to conform.

So who will be the first to get fined? Let alone own up to it.

Btw Gos you don't have a smart phone because your against technology right? :P
