I race a 250 - so that keeps racing costs down.
And it eases the amount of throttle I am "required" to use on the road - license has been closer to healthy since I started racing.
Racing is my outlet so I can push a bike to it's limits meaning I can commute somewhat sensibly on the roads.

Hope that gives another perspective for you.
Thanks for your elaborate experience 8).

The thinking was triggered because I got booked 20 over. Yet, it could have been worse. Much worse, considering it's only a few mm twist between 20 over and 25 over. Or 80 over.

I think I will really miss road riding as you said. Because I too like going out with the Mrs, going to the city without thinking of parking, etc. And those sunny windless days. The only compromise is to be really doing it legally all the time I guess.

Cheers!
