BMC, K&N or OEM would be the pick, I'd think.

One worthwhile mod is removing the pollution gear: details at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/webzxr/zxr ... carbs.html

Lots of other useful ideas at http://www.webzxr.co.uk/

BMC aren't easy to get hold of but I'm running a K&N in mine; seems fine!

Im not a big fan of K&N filters mostly because of the big price tag & lots of people say that lots of fine dust gets past the filter & they are a big no no for dirt bikes although lots of people run them on the dirt thinking they are getting something good because of the big price tag

You cant beat the UNI filter especially at this price>

Or around $30 delivered all the way from the USA, This is where I got my last one, Reliable seller>

The BMC filters cost as much as a K&N, I dont like how the air flow is restricted down to a much smaller rectangle section?>

Ive deleted all the pollution gear, put a small filter on the crankcase breather & blocked off the carby vent tube, closed off the valve reed valves.
I bought a K&N so I'll live with it, I'm just a weekend warrior at this stage.
I read an interesting article re air / oil filteration & there is a a balance between air flow & filteration & the paper & fibreglass were the best balance, the drop in air flow was minute but the loss in filteration was considerable.
We race go karts & it's become mandatory to run a foam pod filter now, inside the airbox & we ring every drop of power out of the engines & there has been no drop in power since
This 94 zxr 750 has flat slide carbies, arent they standard ?
I'm after an inner Ram tube to the airbox if anyone has one ?

Do your carbys look like these>

Or these?

I will stick with foam filters, As you mentioned the K&N & similar filters are known to let fine dust through & cost too much

What part number exactly do you need? Im guessing you mean the rubber piece?

Still available new but pricey, Or try ebay, As usual plenty & reasonably priced>

From memory the flat sides are in the RR model and cost a fair bit!

Lots of people mistake the CVK's for flat slides because the vacuum slides look similar to the slides on the FCR's
Yeah the ZXR 750 M1/M2's had the flatslides

Looks like I've got the standard carbs.
Thanks for the links, I've bought one of the tubes, just waiting for a postage quote from UK, if its too dear I'll get one from US, $30 isn't too bad, delivered.
I'll have a look for a set of front blinkers cause the rubber bases on mine have been eaten by rats, the rears ore good & I don't mind the look but I'm just an old dag according to my 19 yr old son who, by the way, still has 2 years to go on his P's ha ha
