Cheers,
as u would know, sometimes these bikes turn as track bikes, rego not a prob then, talking to a cop some time ago, and he said they find a few stolen bikes at track days... so vin be handy for those that get to the track a bit... be checkin every 7 now... tho that may not go down well when ur checkin some dudes 7 for a vin number

That's really fucked. Good luck with catching the bastards.
Naked Twin wrote:For what benefit, seriously how much coin are you going to make from stealing an older bike?
Chances are they had no idea what they were taking. You hear of plenty of idiots pinching bikes and then riding them around for months themselves. There are a lot of very stupid thieves around.

If you have a Twitter account, send it to the police in your area and ask that they retweet it, to spread the word!
Good luck!

I'm told that plain clothed cops turn up at PI intermittently to check VIN's on bikes, has anyone seen/experienced this at EC?

Will keep an eye out. The bike can get any where from 2k-5k. Most of the time they are usually taken apart and sold as parts to avoid the risk of detection. Don't ask how i know, i just do. Quick money for very little work but high risk's involved.
