Yeah, the gixxers damper is mounted underneath the steering head. And check in ebay.
People make resistors like servo buddies for getting rid of the stock damper.

I rekon plain orange would be the best colour for them

The green on it looks like its the metallic from 2014 zx10r, as for rest its 2011 coloured tank & 2012 coloured fairings.

How about quality suspenders each end ?

The front end isn't too bad. Goldie set a new lap record at Philip Island this year with a completely standard front end. The rear shock is another story though and could do with some improvement.
