Except if a port was open and the cranks been exposed for 10yrs ie bottom end is done and crank needs rebuilding. In any case, have a look, assess the damage and the information might actually be a selling point for a serious buyer, well depends doesnt it

If you're lucky it's just the rings gummed or corroded onto the bores, try the soak in WD40 trick as mentioned first then a quick light hone and new rings, carbs will also be gummed up so will need to be stripped and cleaned properly, shouldn't be too bad if it was running fine before being parked up

could be worth putting an ad up here first mate - I think there are a few punters who would like a 500 triple in the shed

Thanks guys for all your help. It is sold and heading for new home in next few days to get some tlc. Tried to attach some pics but they were too big.
