I was having trouble getting the right paint in a pot (didn't want a spray rattle can, plenty of those available though); in the end I found Pot Belly Stove paint (1000C I think) in Masters Home Improvements. I'll see how it goes once I've given the bike a proper run.

Yep thanks ! I pretty sure KawaDave used that on one off his restos or was it Gos, anyway it should work ok those old pot bellys get awfull hot,especially when your on the piss and ya stoke them up

It was a quick enough job to get them painted (i left 24 hours between coats); so If I have to do again from time to time then it's no big problem. The headers look much better now compared to the previous red rusty colour!
New shiny silver header springs arrived today also.

Been out and about on the old GPz most weekends. She's running really well. Pic at the parking area at Mt Sugarloaf.

It's been an enjoyable partnership with this old girl, but it looks like it's time for her to move on to a new owner.
Just bought a S*z*ki.
Not sure the Mrs will be too happy, hell, she might not even notice! That would be nice.
But I can only ride one bike so there's no point in the GPz sitting there unused.
