When i bought my 10 in 08 it had dunlops on it from new, wasnt a fan of dunlops up untill then( been using michelins most of my life) but loved them, even found them good in the wet. and yer they do wear qik, i think i only got 2,000k on the rear.
Now all i run on my track bike is dunlops.

Bridgy BT-016 Pro
The oem Dunlops wear real quick. I think they must just put on a single soft compound so you feel great when you test ride it. The hoops you buy over the counter are different.
My OEM front on my 08 zx10r lasted about 500kms plus 2 sessions at Ec.
Dunlops do provide great feedback though. They are my brand of choice.
